... from yesterday has come to a satisfactory conclusion.

I e-mailed the woman in Brighton shortly after finishing the last entry. She had been the one I originally wanted to study with, but given that the other SI worker lives in the same town as me, I thought, well, let's try her first and save some money and time on travel.

Within an hour, I had my reply. She sounded just like the sort of gentle, nurturing woman I need to work with. We had another e-mail exchange this morning in which she detailed her schedule and time commitments, and recommended some Yoga books to me. She's a qualified Yoga teacher and weaves that into her body work practice.

Until I see her for my first session, I'll return to Yoga in preparation for the deep bodywork I'll be doing later in the year.

She sounds SO just right that I'm wondering why I ever bothered e-mailing the other bodyworker. I should have followed my initial hunch ... I'll mail the other bodyworker with my sincere apologies.

On a far more mundane level, this experience means that I'll investigate getting an auto-response facility on my e-mail accounts. Also, for attracting phone-shy net-heads like me, a short description of the practitioner on a web site can make all the difference. The practitioner from Brighton did not have her own web site, just a text box and a photo with contact info on Thomas Myers' page. But from that text, I got all the info I needed. More specifically, I got a feeling for the kind of person she was, her background and values.
