Killer II: The Collaborative Meme Strikes Back

-= YOUR PAST, YOUR PRESENT, YOUR FUTURE =-

[livejournal.com profile] morganmuffle: What is the one thing that cheers you up when you're feeling down?
Grande decaf skim latte with a biscotti. Failing that, a brownie.

[livejournal.com profile] soupytwist: If you could somehow magically save one item from your past which you no longer have, what would it be and why?
My wedding band.

[livejournal.com profile] anthon1: If you met yourself and had no idea who you (the other you, not the you that's answering the question) were, what would you (the meeter) think of yourself? (The met) (Note- the English language needs more pronouns)
Pass - am tempted to wallow either in self-deprecation or be insufferably arrogant.

[livejournal.com profile] eilanhp: which colours are the clothes you wear most often and why do you wear these colours?
Navy, because I like blue.

[livejournal.com profile] loupnoir: What item do you have that really is quite useless for your current life but you cannot bear to part with it?
Some of my books.

[livejournal.com profile] septemberrains: What is your most embarassing memory of your teenage years?
All of them,

[livejournal.com profile] bbathory: It's ten years down the road, and you are, by your own measure (if not necessarily society's), successful. What does this mean?
I have a house, two kids, a thriving massage practice, and work part-time at the university as a researcher and lecturer.

[livejournal.com profile] ladycrookshanks: Ten years ago, what did you imagine your life would be like now?
I would be on track for a professorship, another degree or two, married. Last part true, first part not, middle part - yes, sort of.

-= FOOD, GLORIOUS FOOD =-

[livejournal.com profile] amaterasu: If you could relive a meal from your past, which would it be and why?
Probably the Parisian apple pie that a baker in my home town used to make. I protested like mad when it came off the menu. It was gorgeous: light fluffy pastry base, sharp apples, raisins, wine cream at the bottom, topped with almonds.

[livejournal.com profile] wolf_cat: Which snack food best represents you and why?
Oatcakes. Take some getting used to, but very nourishing and sustaining once you've gotten into the habit.

[livejournal.com profile] mickat24: you were having dinner with the Queen (at your place), what would you serve her?
Beans on toast.

-= THE BENEVOLENT DICTATOR'S SECTION =-

[livejournal.com profile] muffinbutt: If money and availability were no object, what is the one thing you would most want to give to another person, and to whom?
I'd give my parents the best possible care in their old age, so that I don't have to move back to Germany.

[livejournal.com profile] chinawolf: If you could move to any place in the world, provided money were no object, where would you move?
I'd stay put, but move to a large house with a garden near the city centre, preferably in Bruntsfield, Marchmont, or the Grange.

[livejournal.com profile] nostrademons: If you could include one question on a meme, what would it be?
See below.

[livejournal.com profile] spin1978: What is the one place on the planet that you have absolutely no desire to visit in any way, shape, or form?
Anyway where I would be in physical danger.

-= EMOTE, PEOPLE, EMOTE =-

[livejournal.com profile] autumnlaborra: Describe one your most vivid dreams in as great detail as possible. It doesn't have to be a particularly good or bad dream, just one that you remember really well, for whatever reason. Include how long ago you dreamed it, and any guesses as to why you dreamed that.
Oh, pass ;)

[livejournal.com profile] tea_and_toast: Tell me about the most interesting (be it moving, important, ridiculous or whatever) experience you've ever had at a museum or memorial site.
I remember being struck by the horror of Nazism at a prison in Cologne.

[livejournal.com profile] wowbagger: Tell me a story about two people who changed your life. (That is, two different stories.) One good, one bad. You can take this any way you like; one changed your life for the better, one for the worse; both good, though one was in bad circumstances, etc.
I'll take an interesting one - my Reiki therapist. For good - she introduced me to Reiki, gave me the confidence to visualise, and helped me enormously with her early sessions. For worse - she showed me what will happen if I stretch myself too thinly as a therapist and lose sight of my identity.

[livejournal.com profile] hannab8: What is the best bit of advice given to you by a parent or guardian?
Love and let live.

-= IN PERPETUITY =-

[livejournal.com profile] anugua9: You have been memorialized as a sculpture. Describe it. Who is the sculptor? Of what material? What pose?
It's a nice bookshelf of light wood. This way, I'd at least take on a useful form.

[livejournal.com profile] manubai: If you were to be memorialized, why medium would you choose? (As in paint, sculpture, photograph, film, etc...) Keep in mind it would be displayed in a public place.
I'd want to be memorialised by a bookshelf in a library, carrying knowledge for future generations.

[livejournal.com profile] perceval: Which inscription would you like to see on your tombstone?
I don't want a tombstone - I'd like to see my ashes scattered in the strait of water between Mull and Iona.

-= BRING ON THE APOCALYPSE =-

[livejournal.com profile] skycastle: If the world was ending, and you could only save 3 people, as well as yourself, who would the 3 people be?
A fertile couple and a fertile couple that's not related to couple #1, both as yet childless. I'd decline to be saved and die with my husband. This way, humanity won't die out and the gene pool will be at least a bit diverse.

[livejournal.com profile] angelofthenorth: this reality is being destroyed. You have to choose a fictional reality to spend your life in - must be a work published professionally - which do you choose and why?
Harry Potter. I love the richness and humanity of this world.

[livejournal.com profile] luminousmarble: You're the person on the space shuttle to a new planet entrusted with bringing one (and only one) game from Earth. It could be a board game, a card game, or one that needs no props--don't worry, someone else is taking care of sport(s). What do you choose, and why?
Peek-a-boo. Such fun, such interaction, and it's how human kids learn to pay attention and watch closely.

-= IMAGE, TEXT AND MEDIA =-

[livejournal.com profile] calimie: What publically known person do you worship and adore endessly? (If you do, anyway)
None.

[livejournal.com profile] aome: Provide a book quote which really touched you or struck you in some way (include the source). The Little Prince by Saint-Exupery. Be gentle to the people you tamed.

[livejournal.com profile] hiddenhibiscus: True or False: Watching/Reading Harry Potter with my child is more fun than alone. No child. And probably "no" to watching it with kids.

[livejournal.com profile] sofie_elisabeth: What is the one book that you read over and over again?Depends. Used to be Harry Potter, but now it's more likely to be anatomy books such as The Trail Guide to the Body.

[livejournal.com profile] glissando: What books are you currently reading, and why? the aforementioned Trail Guide, Anatomy and Physiology, the 80/20 Principle, Business Mastery, Introducing NLP, The NLP Workbook.

[livejournal.com profile] redwood7: What is the worst movie you've ever seen? Why was it so terrible? a movie about a man with X-Ray vision who ripped out his eyes because he couldn't bear it any longer. It gave me NIGHTMARES.

[livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur: Name the three songs (artists, groups) that annoy you the most. You know, the ones they can use to torture you. Anything by Modern Talking, any Deutscher Schlager (trust me, you don't want to know)

-= YOU'RE A WITCH/WIZARD*, HARRY/HARRIET! =- * - delete as applicable

[livejournal.com profile] uninvitedcat: What would you most like to see happen and why,
a) in Real life in
i) Six month's time:
Have a regular roster of 5-10 massage clients a week. Work part time in Newcastle.
ii) A year's time: Get pregnant. By that time, I'll have my own practice.
b) in Fandom in
i) Six month's time
more peace.
ii) A year's time Book 6.

[livejournal.com profile] cynthia_black: If you were confronted with a Boggart, what shape would it assume, and how would you change it to make it funny?
Me, grossly overweight and with minimal brain function. And pass.

[livejournal.com profile] slowfox: If Hedwig turned up on your windowsill, which single one of the Harry Potter books would you send a 10 year old Boy Who Lived as a warning of what he was up against, and why?
Book V. Don't be such a brat, it will cost you dearly.

-= THE HATSTAND RETURNS =-

[livejournal.com profile] lync: If you were to design a "believable" reality tv show, what would it's premise be and why should I watch it?
Joe Programmer codes The Killer App. The frustration! The pizzas! The beer! The death threats to Bill Gates!

[livejournal.com profile] piperx: Do you believe in UFOs?
No. Except in funny comic strips.

[livejournal.com profile] whitealbum: With reference to your own experience, answer this question: what is the difference between a penguin?
White.

I lost it at a massage class. It was around the time of my "no comments I am panicking" post.
