Dear body:

please don't give me a late period just after we've decided to adopt a baby. That's not very nice of you. I can feel it coming on, so why don't you just hurry up and have it over and done with? I don't want to spend money on a pregnancy testing kit on Saturday to find out it's useless on Sunday. But with any luck, my period will have come through before then anyway. Le sigh.

Yeah, I've been there, more than once. My body's fond of screwing me over - almost never a perfect 28-day person, so being a little off isn't a key indicator, but it sure does make you obsess. Makes a couple of days feel like they're lasting forever. Hang in there. I'll hope for the best for you anyway, just in case. :)

I'm not late just yet, but I'm at the same "Can feel it coming so JUST GET IT OVER WITH" stage. Grrrr.

Well, I'm normally pretty reliably 14 days after ovulation, which I can determine quite well. This cycle is now 28 days, which is still within limits, even though it's unusual - I'm normally 25-26 days. Saturday will take me up to 30, which IS unusual. Problem is that I forgot when I ovulated this cycle ... :(

Exactly. So just chill. And 4 days isn't unheard of - you've had loads of stress this month...
