So far, parenthood has been going fine. I've had my moments (notably on Ruth's third night, when my milk came in and she turned into an extremely fussy feeder), but overall, I'm managing far better than I thought I would. When despair threatens to strike, I have a strong voice of sanity that pulls me through, even though the waterworks are more readily activated these days. When she fusses, I can remember the times I managed to soothe her and that helps me stay calm.
