percivalWe've just been to see the paediatrician to check our daughter's progress. Everything is going to plan, she is well ahead of the game in some respects. For example, she's babbling well, she is crawling (yes, we have proper crawling forwards, started on Friday, as yet only used if she wants to go get something), she is alert ... Sometimes I feel that we have been so incredibly lucky that there MUST be some major disaster waiting to happen!
The paediatrician also remarked that our baby was soundly attached to me. In fact, DD hardly tolerates being left with Grandma and Granddad anymore :( On one hand, this is good, normal development, on the other hand, I'm fearing for nursery. I just hope that she gets a nice key worker and that our strategy will work (three extra settling in sessions, only half days during the whole of April). Oh my baby, my poor little baby. We also bought her some 9-12 month nursery clothes today. They grow up so quickly!
Now we only need to get her to go to sleep earlier (slowly inching bedtime forwards) and develop a nice bedtime routine (bath, massage, book, boob, night). We're trying Elizabeth Pantley's "No Cry Sleep Solution".
