bad, ugly, and nice

something bad:
The German web site "Der Spiegel" reports that the Allies are suffering heavy losses. Basra is holding out longer than expected, and the march on Baghdad is slow. My thoughts are with the guys who are slaughtered in this nonsense and with their families. Let's hope this doesn't turn into our generation's Vietnam.

something ugly: the night before last, I remained logged in at Yahoo!Messenger. The next morning, two open windows greeted me. One enquired tactfully whether I had a web cam. I shall shortly
a) acquire another yahoo account
b) keep shtum about my age and sex there
c) only run Y!M and newsgroups from that account.

Oh yes, and I blocked those two bonzos.

I have an appointment with the nutritionist tonight. We'll see what she says. I hope I can go back on wheat. Sugar is funnily enough now a no-no for me: normal strawberry tarts and muffins are too sweet for me (I tried last weekend, guys!)

Will treat self to biscotti and cinnamon swirl tonight.
I need to revisit all my old faves to make sure I've gone off them *g*
