scotrail is EVIL

Right. I'd booked a weekend in London, it was to be my birthday treat. Guess what? Scotrail goes on strike. Sleeper services cancelled. Alternative services leave from Glasgow, transport from Edinburgh to Glasgow is going to be hell, because lots of commuters rely on the cancelled / reduced train shuttle between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Queen Street. And GNER and Virgin only offer seats on their packed late afternoon services. Fortunately, Travelodge has a flexible cancellation policy.

So, it's the Highlands. Inverness, hopefully. Helen? Are you reading this?

I'll be at work until 5pm ... after that, we're heading off.
