Update

so, we met with the mortgage advisor today. Looks like we have enough cash and cash pulling power to buy a two to three bedroom apartment (closer to town) or house (a little further out). Looks like we'll do it, even though it will cost us more than renting. But it's the safest option. We underestimated our joint income, because we don't want ot end up overstretching ourselves.

And this, I'm afraid, will also spell the end of my dreams to become a NaNo winner. I'll still write - but there is NO way I am going to be able to combine

• househunting (and make no mistake, I'm going to do most of the legwork)


• working three jobs (yes, finally down to three)


• writing a grant application
