My trip to Texas was planned in September last year, when it looked likely that I'd not have conceived by October. It was great fun and a priviledge to meet so many fantastic people: queenriley01, the indomitable Alex, Alex' devoted Dad who got me to Hobby on time, bucketgirl, who I'd missed the year before when she was touring Scotland, two lovely cats, a sweet dog and a pile of Dave Barry books who were living chez ORXlady AKA angua9, and last but not least themorningstarr and mollymcgonagall.

So far (said she, slurping coffee), it doesn't look likely that I'll be pregnant come this October. My diet is still a mess, I'm not getting enough fruit and veg, and the herbal medicine is taking slowly because I can't do the midday dose when I'm away (fear of bottle leaking, which it has done before ...)

So, if I'm not pregnant by October 2004, another trip will be in the works. My husband has agreed, provided I'll be able to finance it. And it'll be to ... Portland, Oregon, to see my lovely massage mentor sit_good_dog, luxuriate in the company of SIX (yes, s-i-x, sechs, seis, six) cats, and take a massage class while I'm there. (business trip, you understand). The trip will most likely be in Jan or Feb, given that I need to save up first.

Why not enjoy my childfree life while I still can?
