* In a desperate attempt to get German taxpayers to multiply and create little tax payers who can then pay for the shortfall in the Pflegeversicherung (obligatory insurance for everybody to cover the cost of caring for the elderly) and the Rentenversicherung (state pensions, obligatory hefty contributions on top of health insurance and elderly care insurance and solidarity tax and, if you're Catholic or Protestant, church tax), politicians have proposed an extra-high tax for the childless. Nationwide poster campaigns don't seem to have had much effect on Germans' willingness to procreate.
* In Pforzheim-Mühlhausen, some jokers punctured lots of car tyres. The punctures are so small you can hardly see them, but beware when accelerating to great speed with those tyres - you might be up for an unpleasant surprise.
