company sales

The company I used to work for and that I own shares in has been sold to a competitor. I heard from it through a friend who forwarded me a forward of an article in a web-based industry newsletter. Yesterday, I got the formal offer from the buyer, complete with a form to sign.

I still haven't heard one peep from the company itself.
