A lovely time in York ...
Dec. 31st, 2006 06:39 pm... was had on a flying visit yesterday. I took DD down on the train. She coloured, read, and ran around for two and a half hours, while I watched the beautiful scenery and revelled in the clear skies and bright winter lights. On arrival in York, Mr
dandelionsummer picked us up from the train and we walked to
dandelionsummer's house, where DD napped and chased the dog, and where we had a lovely lunch. Then, it was on to Borders, where we joined forces with
cynthia_black. Due to having to chase after an active toddler, conversation was somewhat broken, but we managed to cover several topics, albeit only fleetingly. At least, we managed to agree that HP7 would probably be published in the autumn of 2007.
At 4pm, I had to rush off to make sure we caught our train, which departed on platform 10 (one of the farthest away from the main concourse). DD's fondest memories will probably be of the dog and a giant ladybird beanbag that she played with at Borders. Oh, and not to forget the spinning coin box for RNIB, where I left all my copper. DD slept for most of the way home, exhausted by so many wonderful sights (and dogs), and DH picked us up from Edinburgh Waverley.
Who knows which meets 2007 will have in store? At least one with
pinkfluffyllama to hand over the German version of HBP which I brought from Germany for her.

Date: 2007-01-01 05:57 pm (UTC)I don't think that 2007 looks promising for a trip overseas but I haven't given it up completely either.
Not sure if you saw my note but THANK YOU for the book! It looks very interesting. Maybe not one I'd read before a flight. ;)
