Jun. 30th, 2007 05:26 pmI'm tired, holed up in bed resting after a day out with The Daughter. So what better way to spend my time than doing this meme:
1. Grab the nearest book.
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the text of the next 4-7 sentences on your LJ along with these instructions.
5. Don't you dare dig for that "cool" or "intellectual" book in your closet! I know you were thinking about it! Just pick up whatever is closest.
"Afterward, we were scheduled to walk around the West Village together, which was not as relaxing as it seems. She was friendly and pleasant, but not warm, like a fluorescent light. As I matched her long strides, while trying to make it seem natural and easy that I was holding a tape recorder near her mouth, I scanned each block in mild panic. What could we do?"
This is from Jancee Dunn's absorbing, very well written "But enough about me - Adventures in Celebsville."
actionreplay, do you want to read it?
Oh, and points to anyone who guesses the Celeb Dunn is interviewing. Hint: She is in a movie that opens this weekend in the UK.
