First of all, apologies to those who wanted an email and didn't get it - there were problems both with my email list and with MS Outlook. I've now switched to Thunderbird and will resend those announcements some time in the next few days.

DS is a great wee boy. He feeds well, goes up to 4 hours between feeds at night, is very alert, and surprisingly similar to his sister. long and slim, nice round read, button nose, slight tongue tie, jaundice that is taking a while to clear, loves being held. he has a very strong startle reflex, so we'll be getting some swaddling blankets today.

DD loves being a big sister. She wants to hold her brother a lot and thinks he's much more fun than her dolls. Long may it continue. I'm trying to give her special time with mummy too.

The birth and the hospital stay went really well. i was second on the list; went into theatre at 12pm, spinal went in at 12.24, adam was born at 12.58, back on the ward by 14.00 in time for first visit by little sister at 3.30. stayed in for four days, home on sunday. I coped quite well in the four-bed room, despite it being quite busy. and, same as last time, I got very weepy for a couple of hours when my milk came in, on the evening of the 21st.

I'm so glad things went well. And I'm so very glad that you have another little one.

I just keep thinking back to the days when I first met you and all you were going through...

I'm so glad you have been twice blessed with beautiful children. *hugs*

Yay! What great news!

So glad she's adjusting well to being a big sister and long may the love go on! I think it's, generally speaking of course, easier to be siblings with a different gender sibling than a same gender sibling. At least they seem to get on better.

*hugs*

Congratulations again on the birth of your son. You're obviously thrilled (and who wouldn't be?:) You got to stay in hospital 4 days? In the USA they usually kick you out in 2, unless you have complications.

I'm so glad it went to smoothly! Congratulations!! There's nothing like a new baby. I always think there's hope for the world when a baby is born.

Out in two days? Ouch! Even after a Caesarean Section? I really found this extra time in hospital invaluable, it gave me a head start on recovery.

Glad things are going so well :-) I think I was in for 5 days when I had my C-section, all those years ago.

Congratulations!

*hugs*

Oh...I forgot about your C-section. I don't know if they would kick you out in 2 after a C-section. But a normal, uncomplicated vaginal delivery? Yes, 48 hours maximum is the norm.

Belated Happy Birthday and Congratulations! I'm glad to hear that Adam's a great kid, and Ruth seems to be adjusting well to having a new baby in the house :)

I'm very glad things went so well! I had the same experience with getting weepy. My lactation consultant just laughed and said, "I think her milk's coming in!"

Amelia is tongue-tied as well, but you wouldn't know it with the way she talks!

Glad little sister is handling it well. I'll bet she's proves to be a perfect little helper for you.

Happy belated birthday to you too!

That's all the time I would want to spend. My mother had four children with a vaginal delivery, and minus complications with my youngest sister, went home the day after. The movement and regular exercise of being at home helped her heal faster than being at a hospital ever did. But to each her own!

This is wonderful news, and I am so happy for you and your children! Bless you.

Congratulations! I would've wished them sooner, but I just got back into the country. I'm so happy for you all!
