solution to movie meme

due to my awful memory, this was harder than it should have been.

here are the solutions.

1) Always look on the bright side of life.
The Life of Brian, Python.

2) There is still hope.
Arwen. That sentence really resonates with me.

3) It was the trousers, really.
Eric Idle's spoof documentary on "The Beatles", "The Rutles".
Fan-bloody-tastic. Leggy Mountbatten's mother's answer
to the interviewer's question "What made Leggy want to manage the Rutles?"

4) Stonehenge.
This is a keyword for Spinal Tap. Imagine a heavy metal
band with a 18" Stonehenge lowered from the ceiling. Plus
Dancing Dwarves.

5) Only I saw her for what she really was - a freak!
I love Fiona Shaw's portrayal of Petinua Dursley. Nuff said.

6) It's Christmas in Heaven, all the Children sing
Monty Python, The Meaning of Life.
continues with the immortal line "The sound of Music twice an
hour and Jaws I,II and III"

7) Cookie, is that you? I can't believe it!!! Do you remember ...
Paraphrased from Best in Show, by Christopher Guest AKA Mr Jamie Lee Curtis
AKA Nigel Tufnell. Cookie is married to a nerd; their terrier wins Best in Show.

8) You've got to talk to her.
Contains the title: Pedro Almodovar's Talk to Her,.

9) Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities, forget about your worries and your strife

Jungle Book, well done!

10) I must ask you not to scream.
COS
Well done to ashavah and piperx!

Ah! I knew #1 & #6 sounded familiar. I love Monty Python.

I've been told by numerous friends that #7 is hilarious. I think I even rented it once but er... got distracted and never got around to watching it. I do that a lot. I spend too much time picking out a movie and by the time I get home, I'm too tired to watch it. But, for me, half the fun of renting movies is browsing the titles and picking one out. Watching the movie is optional. ;-)

I have of course heard of #8 but I don't believe it's available here.
