Jul. 31st, 2003 11:16 amBefore you read anything else, pray for
drakanjel's sister Lisa.
drakanjel has been making so many great, positive changes in her life recently, and now this - pray for both of them, please. For Lisa to recover, and for
drakanjel to continue on her path.

You are on CRAX. Gone a day, 120 new entries.
Bah. I will have to work hard to keep up my 2:1 comments posted:comments received ratio!
This is my last day at work for a week. Tomorrow, I'm at Uni, doing my usual literature review, and Saturday will be spent PAXing for a conference in Barcelooooooooooooooonaaaaaaaaaaa. (to quote Sir Freddie Mercury and Monserrat Caballe).
WORX is chaotic as usual - only even more so. Bah.
Yesterday, I went down to London to help cast new speakers for our synthetic voices. Quite a good mix - the castings themselves were nice and relaxed, although flying to London and back in a day isn't. Also, must note that having four large lattes in a day is not a good idea - I was exhausted, yet unable to sleep, until 2am.

On a happier note, I met
saucebook yesterday - in spite of him having his wedding anniversary! I so enjoyed talking to him that I nearly failed to run for the Gatwick Express. Sorry for having been so attached to your company, but on those occasions where I genuinely, truly enjoy a chat, I don't know when to stop.
dr_c can attest to this: I decided it was time to leave the restaurant where we'd met only after several BIG yawns from him, which suddenly reminded me that here was a person who would actually have to go to work the next day ;) Or
piperx, who complied with my CRAXheaded suggestion of having breakfast at 7am on the day we left the town where she lives. Or
murasaki99, where my husband sort of had to drag me away from the cats and their owner with a gentle reminder that we had to be in Tacoma by that evening and four hours of driving ahead of us. Guys, your company is just too addictive.

Finally, I got the sweetest booklet from
murasaki99 on Tuesday - with a Sirius cartoon that she HAS to post, and squee-worthy cat photos. My husband's allergic to cats, but I love them. So I crave all the cat time I can get, either in the flesh or via photos.

mrsronweasley, do you have lots of space in your mailbox? Cause I have about 70 Geekmoot and Towerstock-Edinburgh photos - some of them needing postprocessing, but a few are fine.
