1. What did you do in 2003 that you'd never done before?
embarked on training in bodywork. I always thought of myself as a very cerebral person before, but turns out I'm good at something manual.
I am also starting to come to terms with the fact that I may never be able to give birth to a child. (More than two years is a LONG wait.)
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
No, and yes:
- start book keeping
- meditate daily

Germany four times (2 60th birthdays, 1 christening, Christmas), America, the Netherlands (transit to Germany)
6. What would you like to have in 2004 that you lacked in 2003?
Peace

none in particular. Contenders are Geekmoot and Hubby's birthday that we celebrated in the States.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Re-entering academia.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Not getting pregnant.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
No.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
The massage and the aromatherapy course.
12. Whose behaviour merited celebration?
My husband for being so incredibly, incredibly, incredibly supportive.

Hm. Apart from Shrub? Unfeeling relatives.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Books, books, books and two massage courses.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Our visit to America, my visit to Texas, my departure from The Company, and Geekmoot.
16. What song will always remind you of 2003?
None in particular. Pretty much stopped listening to the radio this year.

Writing up journal articles, researching.

With relatives, travelling between towns.

With my husband, all over again.

None, just drastically improved connubial bliss inducing activities.

None, did not watch much TV at all. But I like What not to Wear.
25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I used to hate my sister in law for being smug about her pregnancy, but not anymore.

Difficult to say. I love all of my babies, erm, books. But I would say Tortora and Grabowski's Princilpes of Anatomy and Physiology.
27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
I started to like Christina Aguilera, to my great surprise. But Beautiful was a great song, and I also like The Voice Within.
28. What did you want and get?
A job in academia.
29. What did you want and not get?
A baby.
30. What was your favourite film of this year?
Love Actually, although it makes me feel fat and ugly. (I mean, come on, Martine McCutcheon is NOT chubby!)

29, and had a pizza at home to celebrate the end of the Anti Candida diet.
32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A child.
33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2003?
Figure hugging skirts and tops, if I felt like dressing properly.

My husband and LJ.

Nobody, really.
36. What political issue stirred you the most?
Germany cutting people's pensions, which is leaving my parents high and dry, and budget cuts in academia.

And (TWIN!) I love What Not to Wear. I like it better than Queer Eye for the Straight Guy because the make-overees are always so opinionated and some of them fight it every step of the way. :D
But I'm most happy that you seem to have gained some peace in your life.
