slash

I'm not a huge fan of slash in fanfic. I just don't find the idea of two guys making love that intriguing - or sexy. Even though R/S is a very cute idea ...

However, there is one slash pairing that I fully support. It's Ted/Ralph. Ted is a farm labourer, Ralph his master. Ted has magnificent sideburns and is quite a bit older. Hardworking, strong, silent. Ralph is portly but cute (hell yeah - call me a perv, but I find Charlie Higson strangely sexy), has an adorable stutter, and is very shy and gentle. He's been wooing Ted with his friendship ever since he was a baby.

More info? Search for the Fast Show.

That gives me an idea --- I'll wear a Ted/Ralph t-shirt to Geekmoot. Otherwise, I'll never blend in with those R/S shippers ...

Ted/Ralph

What a great sketch series. I saw it more as an exploration of British stiff upper lip and our discomfort with expression of feelings. I never wanted them to resolve it - the embarrassment of the encounters was too exquisite for me to want it to end. What was always ambiguous in my mind was the extent to which Ted reciprocates Ralph's feelings.

BTW I blame you and Piperx for making me have to research a new lingo of ship, slash etc to make sense of your posts.

Ted and Ralph are awesome. Just awwww. :)

And for me at least, slash is less about the sex and the fact it's two guys than about the specific characters. THAT's what gets me into it. Just any-ol'-random pairing does nothing for me at all.
