May. 26th, 2004 07:52 pmToday for most of the day my Internet connection was somewhat ...
... intermittent.
This evening, the modem refused to WORX for an hour.
Cue much shock and apprehension.
It's now fine again.
Stupid little modem!

In other news, I've picked up my fifth concurrent job today.
To recap: I'm working
- three days a week for Newcastle Uni (current contract ends 30/06, follow-up, which is less well paid, ends 30/09)
- one day a week for Queen Margaret University College (until 31/8)
- 30 hours (total left) on preparing a grant application
- 88 hours (total left) on an analysis of read speech in Parkinson's Disease
and now ...
... the equivalent of three months' full time at an hourly rate.
On Wednesday, I'll have a phone conversation about working in technical sales for an old university colleague of mine - again, part time.
And today, I picked up information about setting up my own business.
ARGH.
Now back to Anatomy and Physiology.
.... and just as I wanted to post this entry, the connectio had packed in again.
FANTASTIC.
I'll call Tiscali tomorrow.
