As expected - I'm perfectly fine.

The only unpleasant moment was the insertion of the speculum. Everything else went like clockwork.

It was extremely cool to see my pelvic bones, all neatly in place, lumbar vertebrae, sacrum, ischial tuberosities, ilium, ischium and pubic bones. My uterus was quite high, its top almost on a line with my iliac crest. It filled up beautifully, and had an entirely normal shape, according to the consultant (not a registrar) who tested me. There was a pronounced concave bulge on the right hand side, but that's apparently fine. It was strange to see the tubes fill with dye. At first, they were thin, then thickened. One is stretched out to the side, one is floating behind my uterus.

And both are free.

What's more, the consultant told me that rinsing the uterus and tubes with the dye helps clear the tubes and so slightly increases the chances of conception ...

In massage related news, I've been talking to The Whole Works and Napier's Clinic in Edinburgh about openings. The Whole Works feels nicer - more welcoming and friendly. Half a day there would set me back £28. Saturdays tend to be free, so I could continue seeing my current clients there on alternate Saturday afternoons - if The Whole Works accepts me, that is.

We'll see.

Now off to work!

Well it's good to hear some of those tests I suffered through in 1991-92 aren't being used anymore.
