My body is showing me the red card. I have the biggest cold I've had for two years. After all those headaches that it took three ibuprofen to shift, my body has decided to take more drastic measures.
So I've written to my aromatherapy teacher to postpone my qualifiction - taking my exams in June instead of September this year. I've given her several reasons:
- one of my part time jobs has spun out of control
- I need to prepare for the Dream Job interview
- I have a very bad cold
- I still have a lot to write up and to learn
- I won't go into practice mainly as an aromatherapist - I'll use the oils, but they won't be my primary tool in my massage work. I've decided I want to focus on work that addresses specific areas of tension, postural problems, injuries, etc rather than on giving pure relaxation massages.
I've also got my Reiki II now - if you want a distance healing, sign up here. (It's supposed to work on the basis that we're all interconnected.)
And now excuse me while I down my second Lemsip and another Paracetemol, making it three shots of paracetemol this day (two in the form of Lemsip).
I blame the sofa I had to work on during Reiki II. Why on earth can't she have proper treatment tables for everyone? Giving a full body Reiki treatment while the receiver is on an old low sofa with armrests is exhausting, especially if your right shoulder is already threatening to seize up (Apart from that, it was a great course.)
