the job application

They're interviewing the fourth and last applicant next Wednesday - that's when I'll hear. Otherwise, if given the job, I would have heard today or tomorrow. Well, what's done is done. I gave my best, and if that's not good enough, tough.

Must not obsess about last applicant having added advantage because memory of others will have faded ... must trust that I left a strong enough impression ...

Any interviewer worth their salt will not just go for the last applicant - they'll consolidate their opinions on each. So do try not to worry about it.
