holidays / distraction
Sep. 12th, 2004 04:19 pm~hugs~ to all my American friends. I understand that 9/11 hurts. Nobody deserves to be hurt, nobody deserves violence.

For my long-awaited holiday (25/10-4/11), I need a destination. Basically, we're going to hang around in the South of England. We need to be not more than 2 hours by car or train from Brighton, because I'll be seeing my Structural Integration therapist 3-4 times during that period. It would also help not to be more than 2 hours by train away from London.
In order to keep prices down, I'd like to rent a self-catering flat for two weeks. I have very bad memories of the inexpensive B&B we stayed at for Geekmoot. (very sorry about that, guys!) I definitely do NOT want to spend more than £60 per night for the two of us.
Any ideas?

I've decided to do a Open Studies course at Edinburgh Uni next term. Just something to take my mind off work and learn new things. I'll also start going to a Quaker house group in October. We'll discuss the Gospel of Thomas and the writings of an Indian sage. Sounds fun!
As usual, I'm spoilt for choice. I want to take at least one class together with Thomas, and limit myself to one class per term. But as for the topic of the class itself, I'm not so sure.
So, your suggestions would be more than welcome!

Note that I'm NOT learning Chinese. I don't want additional work and I also want to take my mind off the bloody fertility thing for some time.
