Good news and bad news
Oct. 15th, 2004 04:05 pmThe good news is that I have a two-day-a-week contract at Edinburgh Uni, starting hopefully on November 1. And I have my first massage client scheduled for November 8. Wheee! Now I need to get cracking on my "Welcome to my office" pack this Sunday.
The bad news is that Edinburgh Royal Infirmary STILL hasn't contacted me about the infertility study. I know that I changed my mind and now don't want to do it anymore, but this was a decision I made over coffee with my husband AFTER the appointment. At the appointment itself, I told the Icelandic registrar we were definitely interested, and she said she'd write to the peolpe involved and they would contact us.
That is now 10 DAYS AGO, and I still haven't heard. A colleague of mine who's gone through the same says that this is very unusual. She says that she was contacted IMMEDIATELY, and they were also able to do the form filling etc. at the RIE the day they had the appointment to discuss the hysterosalpingogram.
So, it's likely that they DID NOT PASS THE INFORMATION ON. And if they didn't pass that on, then what happened to my IVF referral?
I'm furious, so incredibly furious.
What are we? Irrelevant? Useless?
I'll alsk my GP whether she knows anything.
