Election & food
Nov. 2nd, 2004 02:50 pmNow I know why I don't get a good eating routine established. When I'm on holiday, I'm somewhere else, and I don't want to go eat out all the time. When I'm at home, I'm too tired to cook in the evening, and cooking a light meal and dinner in the evening seems too much work. So any diet plan that builds on those two is not going to work for me. (Plus I feel fat again and want to lose weight.)
On the work front, got an e-mail from Newcastle telling me why getting me a contract was very difficult, with NO dates whatsoever. Listen, I need to plan! I hope that a certain meeting tomorrow will be more conclusive - this time for that longed for second job in Edinburgh.
On the election front: Americans, Europe is pro-Kerry. Overwhelmingly. Now we can't tell you how to vote, we don't live in your country. But you are the world hegemon, and the world has been getting increasingly dissatisfied with the hegemon's policies.
Is any of my US friends going to stay up and ONLINE while they announce the results, btw? I'd love to chat some time early tomorrow morning (like, 4am my time, evening your time).

Date: 2004-11-02 07:28 am (UTC)As for cooking, I'm not spending part of every Saturday and Sunday cooking for the work-week ahead. Otherwise, I'm in the same boat as you, and yet I can't eat commercially prepared food. So, I cook, or I don't eat. Talk about a diet. On the plus side, I feel better now that I'm avoiding suspected allergens and all MSG.
