brightfame persuaded me to donate to a large organisation to aid the region of the world stricken by the Tsunami. Normally, I'm wary of donating to large bodies, because I fear abuse and misallocation of funds, but this time, I did it, via the Disaster Emergency Committee

I've now finished sending all of my Christmas cards. I do apologise to those of you who'll receive their card WAY LATE. In the mean time, thanks a lot to hiddenhibiscus, mollymcgonacall, swampfaye, seviet (what a lovely pic of Percy!), piperx (cute idea for a card and great report), hildigunnur, murasaki99 (thank you for the long letter and the cat pics) and a few others I may have forgotten whose cards were waiting for me when we came home from Germany.

Yay, glad you got the letter! :D I finally bought a digital camera this month (a Nikon Coolpix 4200) and I've been slowly learning how to use it. Expect more cat pics eventually.

I printed out Medicins san Frontiers donation form, and I looked at the DEC website. Did you have any problems with it? If it worked ok, I'll send them a donation as well. I have issues with donating to the American Red Cross and some of the other charities, as they have been known to NOT send your donation to the cause you designate. After 9/11 they kept a bunch of the money for themselves. <_<
