Dr. Fidelius will join us at Geekmoot in Brighton.

He will leave on Saturday and fly in on Friday.
We are currently negotiating transport from Stansted Airport to Brighton

ahhh ... it's so good when evil plans come to fruition.

And do you know why he's coming? Because I told him about a comment Liz made -
that it would be a shame if somebody with a train connection to Brighton couldn't make it.

So Liz, you shamed Dr. F. into Geekmooting - and we have our Token Male!

howzat?

OK, not wishing to crash in on anything, but Geekmoot in Brighton... I've always kind of considered Brighton to be my hometown, fabulous place. When is it?

well, if you wish to read HP V with a bunch of likeminded people (such as [livejournal.com profile] mrsronweasley, [livejournal.com profile] pinkfluffyllama, [livejournal.com profile] prettyannamoon, [livejournal.com profile] soupytwist, [livejournal.com profile] akela, [livejournal.com profile] hildigunnur and [livejournal.com profile] stereo_m, then be at the midnight opening of the Brighton Borders. Afterwards, follow a bunch of excited girls (+ one guy) down to Brighton beach for an all-night reading session. There might be a dinner beforehand, but nothing's set in stone yet.

contact me at perceval@livejournal.com for details. Be warned - that goes to my RL address, so you should disclose your RL name in return ...

Damn! Damn! Damn! Damn!

I would like to read HP V with all you guys, on the beach (assuming that it's not raining, of course, although one could still hang out underneath the arches on Madeira Drive or some such), but sadly no can do on 21st/22nd June...

It sounds an amazingly cool thing to do, though, so I'm desperately, desperately envious of you all!

Ahem. I might have a mini-summit with another Quiller near York some time after the book comes out.

That sounds like so much fun. I hope you all have a wonderful time!

We're going to read it as a family--as in each of us will have his/her own book so we don't kill each other that weekend.

you do realise he might need your mobile number? I don't have a mobile, and
he needs to be able to get in touch with us if there should be any problems.
I promised someone would be at the train station - either me or somebody else,
depends on when we can collect Hildi. We need to CHEX into our B&B, so ...

Aaah, the problem with that would be that I don't have a working mobile either.

There ought to be some solution, though - Gemma/Akela has a mobile...

When I was looking at Stansted, it seemed the easiest (and most cost efficent) way to go would be National Express bus service. The bus takes from three and a half to five hours to get from Stansted to Brighton.

I ended up getting a more expensive flight into Gatwick, as I would've run out of time flying into Stansted (I have class on Friday). I think I'm good getting the train from the airport to Brighton, but it might be nice if someone could meet me at the station. :)

But hoorah for Dr. F joining us! How many are we now, anyway?

Yep, that's what I told Dr. F. When's your plane arriving? Helen and I will arrive at 2pm, Voldeobum will also
fly into Gatwick, and we thought the three of us could take the train to Brighton together ...
