Having seen it, and being suitably impressed, my question is: Why does the imdb think that LOTR:TTT references this film?

Does one of the almighty f-list know?

if it wasnt'a site made for and by fans i'd sy it was publicity blurb jsut like so man yfantasy series and new authros have the danger of being 'compared'to tolkien or beign sold/makreted because of usign some similar elements (and onl ybecause of that).

Japanese Film. Mononoke Hime. Re-scripted in the English version by Neil Gaiman. Well worth a watch, particularly if you liked the other films by the same director (recently - Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle).

aha. thanks. oh i'm not much ofa movy person myself. i jsut got a 'hunh?' moment becaus mosttimes i've atlest heard of something btthis was really new.
