We have started nursery
Mar. 24th, 2006 07:11 pmWell, after the first two sessions (1 hour and 2 hours, respectively) at our baby's nursery went extremely well, I thought that nursery was going to be a doddle for her today. She was absorbed by her surroundings, investigated everything and everybody, and had a grand old time. So today, having dropped her off and left after five minutes, I settled down for a major session of latte, muffin, pasta salad and Oprah magazine at a nearby Cafe Nero.
However, I was too optimistic. Today, we had major meltdown day. She seems to have realised that I will go AWAY for quite a while when I leave her there, and seems to have been howling a lot. It doesn't help that a few other babies are still settling in - somebody's always howling.
She's reasonably happy with Daddy at the minute, but we had an episode this evening when she would scream if I so much as put her down. She was the same when I collected her from nursery at lunchtime.
Life ...
