So far, the following people have shown an interest in coming to Edinburgh to read & meet: sarka (and does that imply hildigunnur?), cynthia_black, jessanndi, maddest_meg, angelofthenorth, and erised1810, but most of these, except for cynthia_black, are "maybes". This means we can't start preordering yet, but we CAN start planning. Would you be interested in joining a community to plan some more?

I would propose to go to Blackwell's on South Bridge - not only is that closer to the former site of Nicholson's restaurant, it's also a smaller chain than Waterstone's, which has become a bit too "big business" for my liking. They will be open on midnight, and may be open all the way through, as well, unlike W, which may well reopen at midnight.

As soon as I've got some definites, I'll try to book a table for ten for dinner at the Elephant House that night (if there are still spaces and they take reservations).

as for pre-ordering, i' maffraid my braille version woudl come mid-august or so once theyr'e odne producign it. icoudl get an audio-tape butit'd feel weird sitting ther inbetwen yo uwith earphones on. and i like to red thignsto msyelf. it soudns fantastic though. eee! scotland!!
