my first week working at 80% ...

this means that every Friday, I'll be at home.

today, I'm installing software, downloading, and planning when I'll attack which paper. I have a backlog of three papers to write, one Ph.D. related, one completely new work, one old, as yet unreported work. These need to be prioritised. I also need to plan my grant-writing work.

I'll follow swampfaye in posting what I've done on days devoted to research - I hope this keeps me on the straight and narrow!

Good luck with the papers--I have a backlog of papers that have been sketchily planned out and shoved in a folder labelled 'For when I've finished my thesis...' I'm rather looking forward to getting to them, actually.

And good luck with the grant-writing, too. It's an horrendous task. You have my sympathy.

I just wanted to say THANX for the postcard!! I got it a couple days ago, but hadn't updated my LJ yet!
