some administrative announcements

percival1) The real linguistics entries will start soon - I plan to pool both my lectures for posting on the Linguistics filter.
2) The Vipassana filter will cease to exist - I'm just not managing to keep up with it. Life is too busy for me right now. Even though I *know* I need to do it!
3) But then there's this impediment to sitting cross legged that I've developed yesterday: huge strain in a muscle in my left calf. Seeing a private doctor this afternoon - I don't want the complaint to be brushed off by a busy National Health Service GP. I'm afraid that if the leg isn't examined properly, and the doctor misses a slight tear, and that tear does not heal properly, there will be significant long term damage. I mean, muchos kudos to the NHS, they do a brilliant job in the face of adversity, and it's great we have them here in Britain, but sometimes, you have to go for real quality health care.
4) Saw Pirates of the Carribean. I did not like the love story, but I was positively entranced by the eyeliner. But then, I've always been a Johnny Depp fan.
5) The company I work for is happy that I will continue to be available to them after December on an hourly or daily basis if they need me. To save me trouble, they've even offered me to keep me on at 20% or 10%. Yeah, right. You pay consultancy rates after December, folks.
