... no news. I've set my landlady an ultimatum: if she can't find a plumber by 3pm who will do it, I will go and get one. And I tell you, I won't go for the cheapest!
Yes. I told her on Wednesday midday that the flat was still cold, and I've now set her a deadline via e-mail for 3pm today. (Fired the mail off at lunchtime.) I've waited FIVE DAYS for HER plumber to find a time that suited us, while we were without heating and hot water. And now she's not getting in gear. She could have had a 24-hour-service in straight away.
Well, we should have insisted that she get a plumber who can come on the weekend. Fools - we waited until her preferred plumber had time. Learn from my mistake - when the heating breaks down, insist on a 24-hour service. I feel like I'm a walkover.
