- half a day next Tuesday am
- half a day on 27/10
- half a day on 28/10

then one more day, and I'm done.

My new hero is jessanndi, by the way. Can you imagine that this crazy woman offered to transfer me from Gatwick to Heathrow on the morning of December 31? Ah, Alan Rickman fans - they are the best people in the world :)

Especially if, heaven forbid, the plane to London should be LATE - according to Jessanndi's map, the ride from one airport to the next takes not more than 60 minutes - and there should be very little rush hour traffic at 9am on that morning ;)

My bags can't be checked through - I hope that I can manage with cabin luggage only, i.e. a trolley and a notebook case. angua9 kindly offered the use of her washing machine :)

Let's see:
- laptop
- CD's with data for WORX
- A&P book, Massage books
- massage oils, essential oils
- underwear, 2 skirts, shoes, 2-3 tops
=> doable

Just remember that Houston weather in December will be quite different than Scotland weather. ;)

I'm sooooooo excited. My fingers are still crossed that I can go. I think I can swing it on $200, if I stay in a really cheap motel... the kids and I can sleep in the car in a Walmart Parking lot on the trip there and back, and that will help on expenses. (All the seats in my car recline, so we should be okay.)

Yeah, Walmarts are open 24 hours and they have parking lot surveillance and a roaming security guard. People who travel a lot will often park in the parking lot after dark and go to sleep. The kids can sleep anywhere at any time. I'm really the one who needs to rest. ;)

But that's ONLY if I can't afford to stay in a motel.
