Here is the One Lie and Four Truths meme.
[Poll #193595]
An update about the flat situation:
We've now thought about our options.
We will try to buy a place, at fixed price, for about a month. If nothing comes up, we will keep renting.
It would be good to have the security of the bought home that nobody can kick us out of, but a two-bedroom flat will cost us a small fortune. Plus we will need to invest more money in its upkeep, buy furniture, etc ... The market is good right now, because autumn and winter is traditionally a slow time for buyers, and the people who do sell are usually pretty desperate to get buyers. Come spring, prices will rise, and competition will become more fierce.
If we haven't found anything by mid-November, we will rent. There are plenty of places out there with three bedrooms or more (!) for the same money that we are paying now, and we are pretty sure that we will find something.
An update about the LJ situation: Updates will become weekly rather than daily: between now that I work at something fun - I need to concentrate on my WORX, and Instant Messenger and LJ are major attention sinks.
An update about the NaNoWriMo situation: Undecided. I'll have to work on two grant proposals in November, plus teaching five hours a week, plus working two days a week as a Research Assistant, plus hunting for a flat to buy, plus writing six 500 word assignments for my Massage courses.
It might just be doable.
Come on, guys. Chivvy me along, please.
