I was wondering if you could do me a biiig favour....
I'm doing a german to english translation and there is a sentence I'm a little unsure about, I phoned my grandma and asked her, but she's a little deaf and I don't think she was correct in what she told me it was.
Just to put it into context (excuse any mistakes, I'm doing this from memory), the previous sentence is:
Er ergriff den Revolver und [removed the safety catch -sorry, can't remember the verb, but I've already translated this part and it's definitely that he removed the safety catch].

Hey!
I was wondering if you could do me a biiig favour....

Just to put it into context (excuse any mistakes, I'm doing this from memory), the previous sentence is:
Er ergriff den Revolver und [removed the safety catch -sorry, can't remember the verb, but I've already translated this part and it's definitely that he removed the safety catch].<bigDa machte auch der andere im Korridor Licht
That's the part I'm unsure about. I think it;s something like, 'The other did the same in the light of the korridor.
But my Grandma said the other turned the corridor light on, but it can't be that the verb isn't complete, there would be an 'an' as in 'anmachen' right?
