It's a girl!
Apr. 16th, 2004 11:10 amGaladriel has landed.
slowfox helped me choose her,
sff_corgi helped me name her.
She is a blue grey Dell Inspiron 5150, 512 MB RAM, 60 GB HDD, full Wireless support, DVD Writer - to name but a few of her impressive internal features. Her heart beats at 3.06 GHz.
She was delivered safe and well by Lynx yesterday lunchtime together with her very own spiffy laptop backpack and a Logitech cordless multimedia keyboard and mouse.
Mummy loves her very much.

And now for something completely different, sent to me by a friend:
> On a transatlantic flight, a plane passes through a severe storm. The
> Turbulence is awful, and things go from bad to worse when one wings
> struck by lightning.
>
>
>
> One woman in particular loses it. Screaming, she stands up in the
> front of the plane. "I'm too young to die," she wails. Then she
> yells, "Well, if I'm going to die, I want my last minutes on earth to
> be memorable! Is there anyone on this plane who can make me feel like
> a WOMAN?"
>
> For a moment there is silence. Everyone has forgotten their own
> peril. They all stare. Eyes riveted, at the desperate woman in the
> front of the plane. Then a man from Texas stands up in the rear of
> the plane. He is handsome: tall, well built, with dark brown hair
> and hazel eyes. He starts to walk slowly up the aisle, unbuttoning his
> shirt, One button at a time. No one moves. He removes his
> shirt. Muscles ripple across his chest. She gasps...
>
> He whispers "Iron this…. and then get me a beer ."

Date: 2004-04-16 04:43 am (UTC)And I've been meaning and neglecting to thank you PUBLICLY (beyond just a note here) for the wonderful package you sent me, which arrived a few days ago. The contents were totally unexpected, especially the Big Thing, which looks completely wonderful - and I feel terrible that I haven't had time to sit down and read the entire story. But I will. I promise. *hugs* Thanks again so much!! You ROCCCKKKK!! and you're yet another LJ friend who is much too nice to me :)
