I am back from Spain - the LJ-less time is over!

I've picked up lots of very cool and interesting job leads/ideas from the
conference. Grants to apply for, people to keep in touch with, papers to write ... back to life!

The conference was rounded off by a closing session where we saw young professional flamenco dancers strutting their stuff. Excellent.

Meanwhile, the day job is chaotic as usual.

And my twin is NUTSO. She is much loved and much missed and much appreciated. Does this have something to do with a recently arrived parcel? Nooooooooooooo....

Talking about transatlantic messages, murasaki99 informed me that the scrapbook she made me might even contain a few cat hairs, since the cats tried to help! Well, all I can say that the cats did a fabulous job, and I shall cherish every single scrap of fluff ;)

Glad you returned home safely from your trip! (Yes, I know Spain isn't exactly the wilds of Outer Mongolia, but still...)

The Percy pic was just awesome!! Lovely, lovely! (Is the artist SQ's Durayan? The art style looks like hers, but there are several really fine fan artists with overlapping techniques.)

Best of luck on the job-searching. There's got to be something challenging and enjoyable out there for you! I'll send good vibes your way.

Heh - if you want a little *more* cat hair, Rum would be please to donate as much as you'd like! It's the middle of the summer shedding season and somehow the cats manage to produce two times their bodyweight in shed hair without going bald. Don't know how they do it. Also, did I send a 'Hairy Potter' pic? I meant to, but I bet I forgot to put it in the envelope! Next time, I promise.

Saki and Rum say, "Purr!" Greymalkin is outside hunting bugs, so for the moment harmony reigns. :-)
