percivalso, we met with the mortgage advisor today. Looks like we have enough cash and cash pulling power to buy a two to three bedroom apartment (closer to town) or house (a little further out). Looks like we'll do it, even though it will cost us more than renting. But it's the safest option. We underestimated our joint income, because we don't want ot end up overstretching ourselves.
And this, I'm afraid, will also spell the end of my dreams to become a NaNo winner. I'll still write - but there is NO way I am going to be able to combine

We'll start in Tilburg, where I'll give a colloquium talk that relates to the big grant proposal I'm preparing. Then dinner at 6pm, then off to parents, then on Saturday, onwards to Hubby's relatives.
So, apologies if I don't comment as often as I used to. I just don't have the time.
