I notice (in addition to the effects of those nightmarish airport keyboards, apparently designed to make sure nobody misses a flight by spending too much time there) your use of the future perfect tense "when I will have moved in."

Am I correct in thinking that this construction is more commonly used in German than in English? (I seem to remember, when I had a few German and Austrian friends at my church in California, that they also seemed to use the future perfect a bit; but I never really paid that much attention to it.)

(Most native English speakers, or at least American speakers, would instead use the phrase "after I move in," or something to that effect.)

I'd rather put it down to overteaching. In German, in normal conversational speech, I would actually use the perfect. In a foreign language, I'm a bit more careful with my tenses.

(Kezbord? Wht Kyboard_? Oh, ye olde inputte device ... Yes, that was truly awful. And I was running out of time, too.)

We miss you, all right. As Lyle Lovett sings, "That's right, you're not from Texas, but Texas wants you anyway."
