landed safely. am in airport waiting for hubby with keys. all postcards got mailed, piperx, expect a book arcel, user, your book has been mailed too.
my new addy will be poted on march 1 wheni will have moved in.

am now going to do someplanning in hello kitty notebook courtesy of noelle with a coffee and an almond croisant.

I notice (in addition to the effects of those nightmarish airport keyboards, apparently designed to make sure nobody misses a flight by spending too much time there) your use of the future perfect tense "when I will have moved in."

Am I correct in thinking that this construction is more commonly used in German than in English? (I seem to remember, when I had a few German and Austrian friends at my church in California, that they also seemed to use the future perfect a bit; but I never really paid that much attention to it.)

(Most native English speakers, or at least American speakers, would instead use the phrase "after I move in," or something to that effect.)

I'd rather put it down to overteaching. In German, in normal conversational speech, I would actually use the perfect. In a foreign language, I'm a bit more careful with my tenses.
