trying to drag my husband to America ...
Mar. 20th, 2003 04:23 pm... I'd like to go to the States, something that will be difficult with a baby, but extremely feasible now.
We'd be very much swimming against the stream, what with the current mood in Europe. Now, I only have to persuade my husband, who's not too enamoured with the U.S. of A. But I hope some pics of beautiful countryside will be enough. I will also need to remind him that the States are a very large and diverse country where every single state has quite different characteristics. (True?)
We'd be focussing on the North-West, because of the temperatures (low) and the scenery (beautiful). (Personally, I like it hot, but my husband feels cooked when the temperatures rise much above 20 Celsius. He's also a country type, not a city type.) Ah yes, and because of the pleas of Lonely of Montana. You know who you are.
We'll see. Maybe Iceland will win out in the end. Wish me luck!
EDITED to say:
Happy Birthday Frankie!!!!!!!!!!
*pouncehugs and glomps*
May God be with you during the next year of your life.

Who needs amusement parks? We've got the endless miles of highway with no speed limit. ;)
And the refugee Canadians have mostly been edged out by the SUV-driving, refugee Californians.
(Okay, I lied. The powers-that-be reinstituted our speed limits a few years ago but I prefer not to remember this fact.)
